Sanitation Manager - Food Manufacturing
A busy food manufacturer in New Jersey has an immediate need for a Sanitation Manager to lead the cleaning and sanitizing of their facility and equipment in a timely manner in accordance with quality standards and government regulations. Primary responsibilities include:
- Supervises all activities necessary for the cleaning and sanitizing of production and packaging equipment on a daily basis while ensuring that all duties are performed in accordance with USDA, SSOP, HACCP, AIB, FDA, GMP all safety policies and procedures and any other established policies and requirements necessary.
- Confers with production departments to schedule sanitizing and cleaning assignments.
- Monitors sanitation performance as needed to verify guidelines and procedures costing specifications.
- Prepares and compiles with mandatory company and government reports within required deadlines and retains for production and food safety audits required in food manufacturing.
- Ensures employees receive proper training in sanitation.
- Conducts performance appraisals and administers disciplinary and termination action when necessary.
- Adjust daily work schedule as needed to meet sanitation requirements.
- Ensures all company state and federal requirements are met.
Qualified candidates must possess:
- 5-7 years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of quality standards and government regulations
- HACCP, AIB, GMP, SOP & SQF skills
