Job Details:
ELECTRICAL DESIGNER
Working with Senior Engineer, the Electrical Designer will be responsible for:
-Electrical designs and CAD drawings on assigned Projects
-Responsible for Design Calculations and Plan Development
-Works with other Designers and Engineers on a Project Team, maintaining effective communication with project team members, other departments, suppliers and clients
-Collects and prepares data/information and performs detailed design calculations
-Specifies power system equipment, lighting and power panels, motor control centers, grounding systems, and lighting systems
-Creates electrical load studies, schematics, and electrical installation details
-Completes drawings/project responsibilities within scope, budget and schedule; reviews drawings for completeness, accuracy, and constructability
-Utilizes computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
-Assists in field work by obtaining field information, checking installations, problem solving, maintenance and repair of equipment and systems
-Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly
-Accepts other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
-A minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial electrical (MEP) design
-Proficiency in AutoCAD required (Revit helpful)
-Fully knowledgeable of National Electric Code (NEC)
