Software QA Manager This is a unique opportunity for a leader in the QA testing field to drive world-class quality in cutting-edge products and services in the realm of automated spoken and written assessments.
The successful candidate will be passionate about quality improvement, with skills and experience to create highly effective testing automation solutions, able to develop and drive a high-level strategy and very hands-on approach to implementing that strategy.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Creating and maintaining Quality Assurance and Test Plans
• Ensuring exceptional level of quality for products and services released to the customers
• Maximizing automation in the various quality testing phases
• Offering the direction and work validation of both onshore and offshore development and quality teams
Essential Responsibilities:
• Develop templates, tools, metrics and best practices to verify products to meet business and user requirements
• Develop testing strategy, plans, estimates, and schedule, to support projects and product releases
• Evaluate, utilize and/or implement test automation tools; effectively incorporate them in the overall quality assurance process
• Lead/execute functional/nonfunctional, discovery and user acceptance test cycles
• Collaborate with project and development teams to ensure coordination of testing efforts to test plans
• Participate in all reviews necessary to ensure quality in the product - requirements, design, status, code
• Facilitate development/maintenance of quality control standards/metrics to determine improvement areas and strategies in the overall product development life cycle; define, execute, and report results of audits, identifying process gaps/quality issues, risks
• Facilitate project problem solving and trouble shooting of quality issues with development
Qualifications
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities to be Successful in this Role:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent; Quality certification a plus!
• 5 years’ increasingly responsible experience in Quality Assurance including the following:
1. 3 years of Managing a QA Department
2. Development and execution of product/project QA and test plans
Jira and Confluence, Zephyr or similar Test Management Platforms; Smart Bear test Complete, SoapUI, LoadUI; Appium, Xamarin; Web services, testing methodologies (BDD / TDD), automation frameworks, Microsoft Test Manager, application performance monitoring, Continuous Integration and Delivery Pipelines using tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio, Selenium, Jenkins, Security Testing Tools, Service Virtualization and Cloud Implementation; quality metrics / reporting procedures required;
3. Development and execution of test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts for all testing phases
4. Applying test automation methodologies and tools into the testing process
5. Definition of and reporting on project QA measurements
6. Evaluating project deliverables based on quality metrics
7. Leading quality teams to execute QA and test plans
8. Defect management
• Must have Agile methodology experience; SCRUM experience is highly desired
• Experience with testing smartphone/tablet applications, cloud-based services and Web applications
• Project management and professional project management training highly desired
• Ability to manage high volume working environment with multiple priorities simultaneously with aggressive deadlines
