Strategic Sourcing Category Manager

110-120K and Bonus
Role:
The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for reporting to the Category Director and helping with developing, managing and executing the sourcing strategy for the organization. The Manager will own a particular category but work cross functionally across the entire organization. This includes understanding the supply chain, partnering with different businesses, pursues savings opportunities and demand requirements through tactical and strategic souring initiatives in support of internal businesses.
Responsibilities:
- Engage and build strong working relationships with stakeholders, financial institutions, internal and external customers, etc.
- Develop and implement a strategy and procurement plan
- Research the market for trends, suppliers, risks, etc.
- Educate the business on goods and services
- Negotiate, execute and manage vendor contracts with a focus on maximizing the organization's power; Manage contractual risk
- Act as a liaison in resolving issues between supplier and associates required to complete procurement transactions (e.g., vendor performance, expedited requests)
- Monitor vendor performance
- Be a leader in procurement change initiatives, ad hoc, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor´s Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or related discipline
- 5+ years of Category management, procurement, and/or risk experience.
- Experience reviewing and evaluating standard terms and conditions and experience negotiating vendor agreements
- Strong relationship management skills with ability to partner and build professional relationships in a cross-functional environment
