Payroll Accountant

Role:
As a Payroll Accountant, you will work with the Controller and other members of the accounting team to help perform the organization's payroll and general accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform weekly and bi-weekly payroll for both hourly and salaried professionals
- Perform weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and annual payroll taxes
- Assist Controller with journal entries, account reconciliations, etc.
- Maintain and help improve internal payroll processes
- Research and document federal, state, and local tax codes and/or rates into the system
- Special projects as needed
Qualifications;
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 2+ years of payroll accounting within a large organization or 1 year of public accounting tax experience
- Must be able to work independently as well as a team.
- Must be able to communicate with all levels of employees from field representatives to Executive Level
