Director of IT Small Shop Hands on Manufacturing a must
My client is looking for an experienced IT Director to oversee all IT (Information Technology) functions. The candidate will be responsible for managing internal network infrastructure and manufacturing and back office applications. The footprint consists of Windows Servers, Windows workstations, VoIP phone systems, firewall, switches, wireless controller, printers, copiers, and AV equipment. Applications include Wonderware and Sage. This candidate will also serve as the principal liaison with technology vendors and interact with other staff members.
Responsibilities
• Oversee all technology operations (e.g. network security) and evaluate them according to established goals
• Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management
• Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs
• Purchase efficient and cost effective technological equipment and software
• Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency
• Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to upper management
• Control budget and report on expenditure
• Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts
• Manage customer facing web interfaces and remote management software
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
Ideal Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• Proven experience as an IT director or similar role
• Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
• Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.
• Experience in controlling information technology budget
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
* Strong Process Mapping
• VMware vSphere administration
• Disaster recovery implementation and maintenance
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP Administration
• Client PC connectivity, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and VPN
• Experience with Mobile devices (iOS, Android).
* any experience with Wonderware and sage applications would be a plus
• Outstanding communication abilities
