Required Experience

  • Stellar track-record of inspirational leadership and the ability to assemble and manage high-performing teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management/related field or related practice/training.
  • PMP and/or LEED accreditation preferred.
  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
  • 10-15 years of experience leading the successful completion of complex multi-million dollar construction projects.
  • Diversity of product-type with a preference toward multi-family, senior living, retail, healthcare and/or hospitality construction.

Construction Project Executive Primary Responsibilities:

As a Project Executive running large, complex new construction projects, we will count on you to provide inspirational leadership and strategic direction while delivering strong financial results. You will lead, mentor and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers and you will ensure thoughtful execution of our brand promise to deliver extraordinary experiences in everything we do by building strong relationship with clients, suppliers and contractors.

  • Oversee operational and financial objectives for multiple construction projects simultaneously.
  • Cultivate opportunities to grow the business in alignment with the company’s strategic business objectives.
  • Enforce project reporting requirements, job-site safety and quality standards.

Required Skills

  • Produce a full project budget with complete scope coverage and without gaps following approval of the pre-construction budget.
  • Negotiate and award work to subcontractors ensuring complete scope coverage for project completion.
  • Secure a minimum of three bids per trade during buyout process.
  • Draft subcontracts and purchase orders, adjusting as necessary.
  • Maintain project budget during construction.
  • Assist the project superintendent in preparation of the project construction schedule using CPM scheduling program.
  • Ensure project schedule stays updated throughout project(s).
  • Monitor activities of the project superintendent and field staff and provide direction as required.
  • Control field costs in conjunction with superintendent.
  • Ensure project(s) remains on schedule.
  • Administration of submittals and approval of all materials required for the project(s), ensuring that they are available when required in accordance with the project schedule.
  • Maintain documentation to reflect approved revisions to the Contract Documents including: drawings, specifications, subcontracts, change orders, requests for information, submittals, shop drawings, plan revisions, and written directives.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with the owner, team members, and inspection authorities.
  • Responsibilities are ongoing during all phases of a project.
  • Assist with the company’s efforts in acquiring new projects
  • Administration of monthly pay requisitions with the owner, ensuring timely funding of the project(s).
  • Administration of monthly pay requisitions from and payments to subcontractors and vendors.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe job site.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of project management.
  • Manage six to ten subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in project administration and field construction.
  • Train and develop employees
  • Plan, assign, and direct work
  • Conduct performance appraisals.
  • Cary out management responsibilities in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable laws.
