Civil Engineer - Stormwater
Knowledge:
- Completes various hydraulic, stormwater, and other water resources related technical evaluations.
- Work as part of a team under the direct supervision of a project manager or project engineer, the candidate will be responsible for performing design, computations, and evaluations generally associated with the hydraulic and stormwater engineering discipline.
- Completing hydrologic and hydraulic calculations and assisting with project management and administration associated with appointed tasks
- Analyzing and evaluating various water resource related technical problems to improve the performance of stormwater systems
- Ability to interact and communicate with clients to ensure the efficient and timely completion of project goals and schedules
- Knowledge and experience of the hydrologic and hydraulic principles associated with riverine and open-channel systems, including bridge/culvert systems, knowledge and experience with roadway drainage, stormwater BMP, sedimentation and erosion control, civil site development, and/or watershed modeling a plus
- Experience with computer drafting software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word – experience with Microsoft Access a plus - PE preferred but not required
