Job Details:
Seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to design manufacturing machinery.
Job Duties:
- Create and help produce new machinery from concept all the way through installation, commissioning and support.
- Keep up with industry trends
- Design new products and create drafts using AutoCAD
- Support manufacturing
- Travel to client sites to meet with clients and understand their needs
- Travel to client sites to install and commission new equipment
- Help create and maintain budgets and timelines
- Work both independently and as part of a team setting
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineer
- 3+ years experience in a machine design and product development type role
- Experience working in a manufacturing setting
- Experience creating manufacturing machinery
- Client interaction experience
- Understand of Lean Manufacturing practices and procedures
- Experience working with various departments and personnel in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to travel as needed to client sites
- Equipment commissioning experience
- Demonstrated the ability to stay within budgets and meet deadlines
