Senior Consolidations Accountant

Role:
The Senior Consolidations Accountant will report to a Technical Accounting Manager and be primarily responsible for working with the consolidations and SEC filings for all of US operations and globally. This process also involves completing the monthly close process, performing periodic testing and preparing relevant disclosures for the company's SEC filings as well as a combination of the following duties including the development/drafting of derivative accounting position papers and presenting accounting matters to the company's upper management.
Responsibilities:
- Applies advanced accounting concepts to draft and maintain accounting documentation which describes in technical detail the company's strategy and testing processes
- Generates and interprets statistical analysis required to initiate and continuously determine effective accounting
- Performs technical accounting research to conclude on and write position papers regarding the accounting treatment
- Provides technical accounting support and presents to upper management
- Prepares and analyzes internal management reports for the accounting impact of the company's financial activity
- Produces the statement of cash flows on a quarterly basis
- Generates financial statement disclosures on instruments and accounting for the company's SEC filings (10-K and 10-Q)
- Prepares and analyzes monthly balance sheet reconciliations to identify and ensures timely resolution of outstanding items
- Prepares quarterly balance sheet and income statement variance analytics for activity
- Responsible for supporting the Corporate Accounting Manager of Consolidations in general ledger/consolidations accounting, including but not limited to, the following areas:
- Calculate and analyze consolidation exchange rates
- Journal entry review and approval
- Develop and standardize a chart of accounts, and assure consistency of reporting among business units in accordance with US GAAP
- Represent consolidations to support the design, development and implementation of the corporate SAP Planning solution to all business units, including international entities
- Participate in various special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree. Master's a plus.
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- CPA Preferred
- Prior Public accounting is also preferred.
