HVAC Service Manager:
Responsibilities
- Identify, organize and coordinate all HVAC Service Department workload(s), including supporting dispatching to schedule and prioritize manpower and materials as required to meet committed completion schedules and profitability of work performed based on the capabilities of available technicians, the known or expected complexity of the perceived work and the planned and/or promised completion time/date.
- Develop and implement measures to increase sales volume of the Service Department including promotion and sales of HVAC maintenance services to customer facilities and service repairs.
- Prepare project estimates for equipment, materials, labor and other and services and develop proposals for presentation to customers based on preliminary site review and analysis of project or service repairs for customer, often involving cost effectiveness or return on investment calculations. Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposal and other documentation to prepare time, cost and labor estimates for products, projects and/or services.
Requirements for the Service Manager:
- Minimum 5 years of Commercial / Industrial HVAC supervisory experience
- High school diploma required, Associate or Technical Degree in the HVAC/R Industry preferred
- Experinece managing multiple techs, supervisors and office staff
- Adequate knowledge of work processes and requirements for both physical labor and shop equipment
- Effective communicator with employees, customers and suppliers
