Estimator

Role:
A Regional Commercial HVAC organization is looking to add an Estimator to their team. The business has been rapidly expanding and the workload is causing the creation of a new position that will support the Vice President of Business Development. Ideally, this person will be someone that can both estimate and design.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost designs on design/builds
- Solicits and maintains communication with subcontractors and vendors
- Ensures that we have the proper coverage from subcontractors on bid day
- Aggressively follows-up with subcontractors to ensure that bids are received
- Ensures all bids are priced correctly by subcontractors and vendors i.e. Tax Exempt
- Confirm pricing received reflects the correct scope of work
- Submits bids and budgets by the bid deadline
- Ability to collaborate across functions to manage cost and price factors that influence customer
- Review blueprints and accurately delineates the scope of work required for the project
- Properly turns over bid documents with Construction Department at time of award with all relevant information needed
- Act as a Project Manager
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of relevant commercial construction experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant degree
- Drivers License
- Will consider higher level individuals with the right skill set
