Chief Financial Officer - Director of Finance and Administration
A new manufacturing organization is moving into the Lehigh Valley and seeking a Director of Finance and Administration to join their executive management team. This individual will be a key member of the management team responsible for Finance, Human Resource, IT, and Administration.
• Responsible for the management of the day to day accounting functions and implementing process improvements to improve processes and efficiencies
• Managed the financial close process and financial statement presentation, advising the CEO and board of directors on matters pertaining to operational activities and variances from the business plan goals.
• Prepared detailed budget, profit plan and mid-year reforecast presenting plan to Executives
• Worked with tax accountants to find tax savings
• Managed customer service department in their daily duties and assisted in any major customer, freight or billing issues.
• Responsible for managing IT functions including major projects, software/hardware upgrades, daily computer issues through an IT consultant
• Responsible for all human resource functions including new hire benefit education, health insurance benefit issues & personnel disputes and issues.
• Managed all benefit programs via broker, including selecting benefits, educating employees and managing the renewal process each year. Benefits include health insurance, dental coverage, STD/LTD and 401K (administrator and broker)
Qualified candidates must have 10 plus years of progressive accounting experience, having worked as a member of the Executive team.
• BS Degree in Accounting or Finance is required, CPA and/or MBA are strongly preferred
• Previous manufacturing industry experience is required
• Experience overseeing HR and IT functions are required
