Azure Cloud Engineer Consultant
My client one of microsoft's largest Azure partners is looking for multiple Azure Cloud Engineers. We are currently seeking a multiple Mid to Sr. Infrastructure Cloud Engineer consultant for a project based opportunities with focus on Azure IaaS and private cloud technologies
As a Sr. Infrastructure Cloud Engineer, you will be driving high priority customer initiatives in tight collaboration with customers, partners and the Microsoft community. The Sr. Infrastructure Cloud Engineer is a technical customer facing role that will be accountable for the end-to-end customer data platform design, architecture and deployment. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer facing roles and have led successful technical and economic value discussions with senior customer executives, driving decisions and implementation.
Responsibilities:
•Knowledgeable in Cloud Platforms (Hybrid Clouds, IAAS, PAAS and SAAS) and offerings from Microsoft, IBM, VMWare, Amazon.com, SalesForce.com (Force.com), and open source cloud platforms like Xen Cloud Platform, Eucalyptus Cloud Platform and OpenStack Cloud platform.
•Current and deep large-enterprise experience with Microsoft Hyper-V and Azure IaaS
•Cloud networking and security architecture and implementation
•ExpressRoute architecture and implementation
•Cloud and on-premises storage
•Experience with Windows Azure Pack
•Experience with Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM)
•Experience with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
•Experience Microsoft System Center Service Manager (SCSM)
•Experience with VMware to Hyper-V migrations and migrations to Azure
•Experience designing and developing PowerShell scripting, ARM templates, and automation code for datacenter scenarios
•Practical knowledge in Azure IaaS, VM Protection, ExpressRoute, Azure File Storage, Azure G-Series, Key Vault, Azure Multi-Nic Virtual Machines
•Experience in Azure Network Security Groups, Azure Operational Insight and OMS, Azure Premium Storage, Site Recovery, Network Virtual Appliance, Client Side encryption for Azure storage objects
•Experience in creating new cloud architecture platforms to drive project from architecture standpoint
•Experience in building out cloud platform on Azure IaaS services
•Design and deploy automated resources on Azure IaaS, networking and security services
•Responsible for provisioning of Azure services on the cloud to build scalable production systems load balancers
•Migration plans to move application to cloud, develop architecture blueprints and documentation.
•Infrastructure automation using (devops, shell, Python, Ruby, puppet, ansible, )
•Design Azure IaaS network architecture including VPN connectivity between regions and subnets
•Design the HA / DR strategies, Execute migration plan, Leverage appropriate Azure services
•Set up process, services and tools for cloud and oversee devops build, release engineering
•Validate the environment to meets all security and compliance controls for big data (hadoop)
•Deployment for Windows and Linux environments and systems in a cloud infrastructure

•Create and design multiple data center transformation solutions to cloud based data center (private, public and hybrid) based upon business requirements and client envisioned infrastructure roadmap
•Migrate clients from their existing data centers to private and public hosted cloud environment.
•Create cloud migration strategy, documentations, and project plan to migrate complete environments to the cloud (VM, disk, applications).
•Perform architectural deep dive/evaluation & proof of concept for various Cloud Platforms ( Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine, Verizon Enterprise Cloud, VMware Air) with focus on Azure
•Define high level strategy and positioning of IaaS and PaaS for cloud consumption.
•Keep up-to-date on new technological advances in Azure IaaS and third party solutions
•Scope and prepare statements of work
•Create documentation and learn new technologies roadmap related to cloud
•Expertise in building private cloud that consists of network switches, physical hosts, etc. leveraging Azure IaaS and other technologies
•Execute technical proposals for optimizing and modernizing identified workloads
•Design private and hybrid critical solutions and migrations to the Microsoft Azure platform
•Design data storage, movement, orchestration solutions and create rich visualizations
Qualifications:
•This role requires deep technical skills and experience with technologies related to the Microsoft Private Cloud Solutions (Based on Hyper-V and System Center), Azure public cloud, and Hybrid cloud solutions.
•Up to 80% Travel required (based on project)
•Must have 5-8 years of consulting experience with the design and implementation of cloud technologies (focus on Azure IaaS)
•Must be a self-starter who is capable of making things happen
•Passionate in learning the latest technology advances in cloud and how it can be applied to customers
•Goes the extra mile to exceed customers expectations
•Proven track record in design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
