Data Scientist (R, PYTHON, SQL) - Data Products
Established and profitable technology company is seeking to establish a Data Science team. Positions exist for all level of Data Scientists. Qualified candidates will have any of the following:
- Hands-on experience in data mining, machine learning, and/or quantitative analysis
- Developing and executing algorithms
- Ability to work with large semi-structured datasets (Hadoop, Spark)
- Fluency in a modeling language such as R, Python scientific computing libraries, or Matlab
- Ability to distill problem definitions, models and constraints from informal requirements, and to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives
- A natural curiosity and desire to learn
- Hands-on experience in predictive modeling and analysis
- Expertise at working with very large, disparate data sets, including charting and visualizations
- Strong communication and data presentation skills
Example of tools: R, Python, Kafka, MatLab, Hadoop, AWS, ElasticSearch, Hive, Casaandra, Redshift, SAS, PIG, HBASE, Spark, etc.
