Job Details:
MY client is an excellent employer that specializes in Electrical contracting and electrical construction. They seek an Estimator to help with the burdens of a growing Estimating department. Duties include:• Review RFP/RFQ, specification and drawings to determine the scope of work and scheduling requirements.
• Attend Pre-bid meeting and liaise with customers.
• Prepare and develop industrial/commercial construction estimates/budget by studying plans, performing accurate take offs of material and labor.
• Obtain bids from vendors/clients/subcontractors by specifying materials; identify qualified bids. Process the ability to define/prepare scopes of work for related subcontractors submitting proposals.
• Explains the basis of the estimate to both Company Management and Clients while participating in bid/scope review process.
• contributes to schedule and technical approach (execution plan)
• Maintain quality service by following organization standards and practices.
• Maintain continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communication actions and irregularities
