Engineer - Rail Transit
My client is looking for an engineer with a mix background preferably with MD Rail Transit background.
- Electrical background in Rail Transit and a minimum of 15 years’ experience.
- Responsible for electrical design of lighting and equipment at Stations; buildings; tunnels; and other electrically powered equipment and facilities on the Purple Line.
- Experience is also required in the development of Energy Management Plans. The project has an additional goal of minimizing Project energy costs by controlling energy consumption and is required to select energy-efficient equipment and provide a means to monitor and report energy usage on a continuous basis. General requirements as follows:
o Identify the major energy use centers in order that conservation efforts can be consistently applied on a cost to benefit basis in terms of design effort and specificity of detail.
o Stations and Facilities must minimize energy consumption by selecting automatic sensors, motion detectors, thermostats and similar devices with programmable computer override.
o Evaluation of the projected total power consumption and maximum power demand over a 24 hour, 15 minute, and 30 minute periods assuming normal weekday operations
o The Energy Management Plan shall also account for the transition of electricity payment responsibility.
