Controls Engineer
On-Site - $30-$36/hr
A client of ours is seeking a Controls Engineer to support the development and deployment of custom industrial systems. This is a hands-on opportunity for early-career engineers or technicians looking to build experience in controls, robotics, and system integration.
What You’ll Do
- Support design of electrical and control systems for automated equipment
- Assist with PLC, HMI, and robotic programming and troubleshooting
- Develop and maintain schematics, I/O lists, and technical documentation
- Participate in equipment build, wiring, and system testing
- Assist with startup, commissioning, and field troubleshooting
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve integration challenges
What You Bring
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in electrical, automation, or related field
- Foundational knowledge of industrial controls (PLCs, sensors, motor controls)
- Hands-on mindset with strong troubleshooting ability
- Exposure to platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, or CODESYS is a plus
- Familiarity with robotics, motion systems, or machine vision preferred
- Understanding of electrical standards (UL, NEC) is a plus
- Willingness to travel 10–15%
