Civil Engineer

Position Summary:
The Civil Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and executing land development projects from concept through construction. This role involves collaborating with clients, project managers, and field teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and experienced in site civil engineering design and construction oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and coordinate civil engineering designs, plans, and specifications for site development projects including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways.
- Conduct field inspections and site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, and adherence to plans and regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project delivery.
- Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal codes, ordinances, and environmental regulations.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates, construction schedules, and project reports.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of design revisions, site changes, and field observations.
- Coordinate with municipal authorities, utility providers, and regulatory agencies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in site/civil engineering or land development projects.
- EIT preferred.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar civil design software.
- Familiarity with grading, drainage design, stormwater management, and roadway design.
- Strong knowledge of local Philadelphia-area municipal codes and permitting processes is a plus.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
