The Senior Staff Accountant will be supporting site-level financial operations, partnering closely with Financial Operations Controller. This position oversees core accounting functions including cost tracking, standard costing, forecasting, month-end close, and financial reporting.
Responsible for maintaining accurate product costing and analyzing cost of goods sold, the role also provides actionable insights to support operational decision-making. Serving as a financial resource across departments, the Plant Accountant helps drive performance through cross-functional collaboration and strategic analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the controller to assist with month end close, journal entries, reconciliations, etc.
- Perform accounting in regards to cost of goods sold, inventory, bill of materials, etc.
- Perform financial statement review
- Perform standard costing and cost accounting
- Track cost impacts, capital spending, etc.
- Assist with forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis
- Help with continuous process improvements
- Ad Hoc Projects
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of three years experience in accounting or finance within a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and experience with comprehensive ERP systems, particularly in cost accounting.
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Working Situation:
This will be an in office position.
