Senior Project Engineer
We are seeking an experienced a Senior Project Engineer to lead all technical and administrative aspects of capital projects and maintenance operations at our facility. This leadership role ensures the plant operates safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively, utilizing state-of-the-art technology to produce high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
Capital Project Leadership
- Develop and implement projects to improve product quality, operational efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Coordinate major capital initiatives with internal teams, external engineering firms, and contractors.
- Prioritize projects and communicate updates to the Facility General Manager.
- Create project scopes, evaluate alternatives for materials, workforce, and equipment, and ensure timely, on-budget project completion.
- Manage project expenses and develop capital plans for plant improvements.
Engineering Operations
- Adhere to schedules, budgets, and safety standards while ensuring equipment reliability.
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance to identify improvement opportunities.
- Actively participate in maintenance and capital budget preparation, cost forecasting, and expenditure tracking.
- Hands-on work with automation systems, including Rockwell Automation, Allen Bradley RS Logix, and Studio 5000.
Safety and Environmental Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Apply reliability-centered maintenance practices and failure mode analysis (FMECA).
- Oversee adherence to standards such as confined space entry, lockout/tagout, and hot work permitting.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering field.
- Experience: 10–35+ years in capital project management and maintenance within heavy industrial manufacturing, such as chemical or metals industries.
- Skills:
- Expertise in automation systems, including Allen Bradley RS Logix and Studio 5000.
- Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
- Knowledge of capital engineering, safety standards, and environmental compliance.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary: $100,000–$135,000+
