Job Details:
MECHANICAL PROJECT MANAGER
New York City based HVAC mechanical construction contractor is proactively looking for a Project Manager (HVAC) to join their growing team.
Duties:
- Manage all aspects of commercial HVAC construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project milestones are met.
- Conduct thorough construction estimating and cost control to optimize project budgets.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms.
- Utilize software such as Bluebeam, Trimble and AutoCAD for accurate project documentation and bidding processes.
- Oversee construction site operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the construction team to resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the project lifecycle.
Experience:
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Proven experience in commercial HVAC project management within the mechanical construction industry.
- Proficiency in construction estimating, pricing, and cost control.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and construction drawings for project execution.
- Experience in negotiating contracts and managing client relationships.
- Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards related to commercial construction projects.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
SALARY: $125-170K
