Job Details:
My client is a top notch national Consulting Engineering firm that is actively looking of a Fire Protection Engineer for their Atlanta office! The key to this job is 5 years in Fire and Plumbing Engineering design, engineering and project management.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor younger engineers
- Design fire suppression, sprinkler, and fire alarm systems
- Prepare 2- and 3-dimensional construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit
- Prepare documents and calculations for the LEED certification process.
- Coordinate design efforts working closely with our in-house disciplines, architectural clients, and building owners.
- Plan project production process.
- Project Management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrate proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Prioritize effectively, has good follow-through, and practiced self-implemented quality control measures
- Ability to communicate well in writing, as well as verbally
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering
- PEstrongly preferred.
- Five+ (5+)experience in the MEP consulting business, including water-based extinguishing systems, fire alarm and mass notification, smoke control, and special hazards systems
- Previous leadership experience required.
