6+ Months Contract

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Meraki Engineer to join our team for a crucial project involving the replacement and configuration of Meraki access points and switches for 100's of sites as part of an end-of-life (EOL) upgrade. This project will involve working with a team of professionals to ensure the smooth transition from outdated equipment to new Meraki switches and access points.

As a Meraki Engineer, you will play a critical role in replacing and configuring Meraki switches and access points in 100's sites, split into separate teams, for an end-of-life (EOL) project. This project is expected to last for a minimum of 6 months, and you will work out of the HQ office to mirror configurations of the EOL equipment under the supervision of a lead engineer. The new hardware to be installed will exclusively consist of Meraki switches and access points.

Responsibilities:

  • End-of-Life (EOL) Replacement: Configure Meraki access points and switches working with a team on 100's of offices, ensuring a seamless transition from outdated equipment to new Meraki hardware.
  • Onsite Configuration: Work onsite to mirror the configurations of the EOL equipment, under the guidance and supervision of a lead engineer.  This will require unboxing, configuring, labeling, packaging, and shipping in coordination with our regional Service Delivery Managers.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with a team of professionals, including network engineers and project managers, to ensure the project's success.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps for each site.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform rigorous quality assurance checks to ensure that the new Meraki hardware is functioning optimally.
  • Troubleshooting: Address any technical issues or challenges that may arise during the project and collaborate with the team to find effective solutions.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all work is in compliance with company standards, security policies, and best practices.
  • Communication: Keep project managers and team members informed about project progress, challenges, and milestones.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in configuring and replacing network equipment, with specific expertise in Meraki switches and access points.
  • Certification in Meraki or equivalent networking certification is a strong asset.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Experience with remote configurations and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures.

This is a 6+ month contract opportunity!
