Senior Technical Accountant
100% Remote
Role:
A rapidly growing but well-established global manufacturing organization is looking to add another Senior SOX Accountant to their team. This is a position that will helping with the day-to-day accounting, internal controls, SOX, ASC 606, ASC842, month end close, journal entries, balance sheet, supporting audits, general ledger, financial reporting, budgeting, etc. This position will also be analyzing data, preparing financial reports, preparing financial statements, and assisting with internal controls as well as accounting policies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Controller with preparation of financial reports and accounting financial statements.
- Assist with ASC 606 & ASC 842; revenue recognition and lease accounting
- SOX Accounting
- Posts journal entries to general ledger, perform monthly/quarterly close procedures, oversee accounts payable and receivable.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation
- Analyze accounting data, perform financial reporting, etc.
- Work with the Controller to develop and revise accounting methods, internal controls, accounting policies and principles as appropriate
- Support the audit team with the annual audit
- Perform consolidations for several different entities and multiple general ledgers
- Provide financial support and reporting for special projects
- Help with process improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required
- 4+ years of BIG4 public accounting audit experience with publicly traded clientele OR 6+ progressive accounting experience within a large multi-national organization.
- Certifications are a plus (CPA, CIA, etc.)
Working Conditions:
This position can be 100% remote with some travel to the headquarters in Pennsylvania.
