HVAC Technician
New York City mechanical contractor offering preventive HVAC service and energy solutions to commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings is seeking experienced HVAC Technicians. Technicians perform HVAC diagnostics, repairs, replacements and preventative maintenance services. Technicians are the public face of the company providing a professional and courteous client experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Survey and analyze existing equipment for replacement or repair.
Ability to build long-term customer relationships
Work with the team; mentoring and exhibiting leadership skills.
Install replacement equipment and parts per manufacturers specifications to honor manufacturers warranties
Complete HVACR preventive maintenance in accordance with established standards
Troubleshoot, Analyze and repair HVACR malfunctions in accordance with EPA established standards
Follow maintenance schedule to complete accurate and timely equipment maintenance and operating logs
Complete documentation, including but not limited to, timesheets, expense reports, service reports and purchase card logs
Conduct general tasks including, but not limited to, safety training, group meetings and maintaining tools and vehicle (if applicable)
Qualifications
5+ years of HVAC experience working on commercial or industrial HVAC equipment /systems
Ability to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations.
Knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems with ability to read gauges, charge equipment and perform equipment start-ups and repairs required
The ability to read blueprints, technical schematics as well as specification manuals is required
PAY: $40/Hour + Benefits & Bonus
