Estimator (Excavation/ Sitework Construction)
Excavation - Sitework - Site Development
Our client an excavation/site construction contractor in Chester County, PA is actively seeking to add an Estimator to the staff. This role will manage a variety of commercial and public works projects in site construction in the NE Pennsylvania area (Excavation & Utilities, Storm & Sewer Lines, Asphalt Paving, Concrete, Roadways, Civil Construction Projects).
Responsibilities
- Project estimating experience
- Effectively communicate with team
- Serve as an active participant with projects from bid selection & initiation through the planning & construction phase
- Work with project team to develop and implement strategies to achieve project pricing & cost objectives according to the estimate
- Address and manage necessary change orders with the project team
- Communicate with the project team to understand project scheduling and conflicts
- Utilizes leads to help identify upcoming project opportunities
- Perform estimate from receipt of bid package through final bid review
- Manage the available bid time to insure accurate and timely preparation of a complete estimate
Qualifications
- ~Two or more years (2+) of industry site work construction estimating/project management experience; (Excavation, Site work, Utilities, Asphalt Paving, Concrete, Civil Construction Projects)
- Strong estimating, negotiation, and bidding experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- College degree a plus, not required for individuals with relevant experience
