Statistical Maintenance Engineer
Role:
As a Statistical Maintenance Engineer, this person will be a key liaison between the statistical analysis as well as data science and the organization's engineering, field engineering, and physical assets. This person will be conducting very complex statistical analysis on industrial processes, procedures, studying how the organization performs action, understanding and analyzing motives for action, and really acting as the key liaison to utilize statistics in order to drive efficiencies but maintaining reliability. You'll work with all types of engineering, field personnel, production, operations, sales, etc. You'll also be participating in data cleansing, data storage, strategic improvements, project prioritization, budget and project maintenance, investment planning and reporting, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Work independently by observing engineering projects, functions and processes to understand how process and procedures are performed
- Prepare and analyze large data sets that contain information on these projects, functions, and processes
- Create Standards or a baseline of programs
- Create suggestions to help optimize performance
- Provide management reports and services which include costings, materials, procurement activities, contracts, project coordination, etc.
- Provide recommendations to resolve any issues, concerns, and or process improvements
- Provide training and/or serve as a technical expert
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, Masters or MBA is a plus
- Prior experience building data analytic models; using data models to influence decisions
- Experience within a energy, manufacturing, airline, utility, or similar industry is a must
- A strong background in maintenance engineering
- Ability to speak with all levels and across all technical skill sets; ability to influence decisions by explaining the data and it's respective results
