Human Resource Learning and Development Specialist
Role:
As a Human Resource Learning and Development Specialist, this person will be working with a Director of HR to help monitor the online training academy, streamline process, create more consistent content across all locations, implement process improvements, perform upgrades / enhancements, enrich the materials, as well as help maintain the learning management system. This individual will be working out of a corporate headquarters in Allentown on a hybrid basis but also working cross functionally with domestic manufacturing sites and local field HR Generalists, regional distribution sites, as well as other offices here in the U.S. This would also work cross functionally with human resources, operations, sales, marketing, logistics, manufacturing, and upper management.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, maintain and implement training materials including programs and materials aligned with the organization’s requirements and objectives, and legal requirements
- Contributes to managing and maintaining databases (i.e. Learning Management System, Mentor program, Skillsoft, etc.)
- Drives accountability of training activities by maintaining records of activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness and communicating results
- Facilitate trainings for field employees on site, in-person or via webinar/remotely
- Help field managers and trainers solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups
- Identifies and supports performance opportunities and management processes
- Design open-enrollment learning programs, presentations, participant guides, and reference guides
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or similar discipline
- 2+ years of prior human resource experience within a manufacturing organization or similar industry
- 2+ years with managing and maintaining databases (i.e. Learning Management System, Mentor program, Skillsoft, etc.
- Prior experience with Skillsoft or other similar online learning academy or training programs
- Certifications are a plus
Working Conditions:
This will be a hybrid working situation out of the corporate headquarter office. There will be travel out to their different locations, see below.
