Lead Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist
Role:
As a Lead Mergers and Acquisitions Specialist, you will sit within the organization’s Corporate Mergers and Acquisition team while reporting to an Executive Director. You'll have visibility to the C-level suite with opportunity to grow to a true manager in the future! You'll have the power to research, influence and drive decision making for large multi-million and multi-billion dollar deals!!
The Lead M&A Specialist be will be responsible for full cycle corporate multimillion dollar transactions from start through finish including the planning, due diligence, contracts, risk, process improvements, deliverables, and integration. The corporate M&A team is an execution focused group, supporting our business executives on the execution of transactions which fit the company's strategy. This is a sole contributor role, a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach to partnering with our businesses and functions, that manages the deal transaction process with the ultimate expectations to grow into a team manager leading other analysts.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Director on planning and supporting any M&A transactions
- Assist with and work with a team to help deal sourcing, valuation, integration execution, etc.
- Perform due diligence for targets acquisitions
- Work on several transactions (deals) at a time upwards of 8-12 transactions of $10-500M
- Work cross functionally with financial planning and analysis (FP&A), corporate strategy, operations, human resources, IT, engineering, manufacturing, legal, procurement, etc.
- Prepare and negotiate contracts, term sheets, purchase agreements, as well as the respective schedules
- Present summaries, updates, deliverables, and any other documentation to the board / stakeholders
- Dive continuous improvements, influence decisions, and be a key to the execution of projects
- This opportunity offers a wide variety of transaction types including acquisitions of standalone businesses, corporate carveouts, new joint ventures, existing Joint Venture buy-up/sell-down, minority investments, and divestitures, etc. This would be across corporate sellers, private equity, family-owned, as well as state/government owned.
Qualifications:
- MBA or Master's is required
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics is required.
- 7+ years of prior progressive experience with a focus on M&A transactions
- Prior experience working for an international or multi-national organization of $1B+
- Travel will be required non-pandemic typically 20-40% both domestically and at times internationally
Compensation:
A competitive compensation package will be available for this position including a
- base salary 75-105K

Relocation packages will be considered for non-local candidates
Working Situation:
This position will be an in office position with some flexibility. There will be some longer hours from time to time as near deal closing times as well as the end of quarter/year.
