Job Details:
Top Industrial Gas client is looking to add an Account Manager to their company in the Grand Rapids, MI area. Ideally, the person should live in the Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo or South Bend areas of Michigan.
This role covers the sales areas of Western Michigan and Northern Indiana. The Account Manager will need to travel across these areas while also working from home as well as the plant locations as needed.
There is a 40-50% travel requirement with this role
Responsibilities:
- Increase revenue throughout the required territory through an in-depth knowledge of bulk gases, equipment and gas products
- Develop new business through cold calls, trade shows and using internal/external resources to gain new customers
- Understand customer values/priorities, business issues, and economic factors
- Complete up to date opportunity roadmaps and account action plans
Qualifications:
- Must have bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing/finance or related discipline
- Previous experience working in industrial, sales or a commercial gas, chemical or manufacturing industry
- Must be able to take action and resolve customer issues as needed
- Previous demonstrated sales track record and have previous experience of growing sales, prospecting and the ability to negotiate and close deals
- Ideal candidate will also have a strong business background
- Clear understanding of PC programs such as SalesForce/CRM, Microsoft Office
