PROJECT ARCHITECT
Summary:
Award winning New York City architecture & design studio is seeking a Project Architect experienced in retail, hospitality and commercial mixed-use design. Candidates should be familiar with commercial projects, preferably retail or commercial mixed-use. Candidate must meet project milestones & delivery dates.
Duties:
Oversee architectural projects from the conception stage through completion of the project.
Ensure that project teams meet quality, schedule, contractual and budget goals.
Oversee designers and junior architects, oversee architectural projects, evaluate existing facilities and formulate building programs.
Establish and sustain client relations.
Apply and understand building codes.
Design and implement creative concepts of architectural layout.
Formulate and oversee project range, budgets, schedules and client expectations.
Responsible for studying the financial aspect of projects; organizing construction documents and assuming responsibility for finished plans, specifications, and management approval of materials and construction.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Knowledge of AutoCAD required. Revit experience preferred.
Must have advanced knowledge of federal, state and local building administrative codes relating to building projects.
Knowledge of modern architectural methods.
Background in solving architectural design and construction problems.
Important skills for this managerial position include good written and oral communication skills, decision-making and problem-solving skills, administrative and management skills, leadership and interpersonal skills, advanced computer knowledge, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5-10 years of applicable experience preferred
