Associate Director of Compensation and Benefits
Role:
As an Associate Director of Compensation and Benefits, this person will be responsible for the organization executive compensation programs. This would include annual benchmarking, market analysis, administration, planning, deferred compensation, controls, reporting, any development and/or changes, implementation, etc. This would also lead a team of 2 analysts as direct reports.
Responsibilities:
- Administer, plan, develop and implement a successful and competitive executive compensation program
- Manage company’s equity compensation plans, including equity approval protocols, documentation, and implementation a process for review and approval of grant awards.
- Perform annual benchmarking and market analysis to ensure the organization is competitive
- Manage survey participation for the executive leadership roles.
- Oversee analysis related to cost and trends and provide analytical data management support for measurement and tracking of key HR-related metrics.
- Recommend and enhance current programs, policies, and processes for both short-term and longer-term business needs and goals. Model potential impact of design changes
- Assess and manage all elements of deferred compensation which include equity-based, deferred cash and other performance plans across the company.
- Support various project initiatives through the creation of dynamic models to assess the potential impact of future design decisions.
- Work with Accounting and finance to help prepare annual budgets, forecasts, audits, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher is required; Master's degree or MBA are highly preferred
- 6+ years of compensation experience including +4 years executive compensation and equity administration experience.
- Ability to operate at both the strategic and operational levels (i.e., strategic thinking and ability to operationalize) to drive results
- Work independently and effectively manage projects from inception through execution
- Certifications are highly preferred (CCP, CEP, or similar certifications)
- Strong business and financial acumen, understanding tax and budget implications of compensation
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills and a track record for executing and auditing work
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, interpersonal, communication, presentation, organization, decision-making, and planning skills
