Senior Auditor:
The Audit Department is responsible for ensuring markets and centralized departments are in compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures. The Senior Auditor will conduct financial and operational audits, participate in the risk assessment process, and support investigations. You will review processes, develop risk assessments, perform test procedures, analyze data, and recommend process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Director of Internal Audit, you will have a strong voice in defining the function’s methodologies and documentation standards
- Plan and execute audits with guidance and support from department leadership
- Gain an understanding of key processes and test the design and operating effectiveness of manual and automated business process controls in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley
- Participates in and provides feedback on the risk assessment
- Plans the timing, scope, testing and reporting of the audit
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting is required
- CPA is a plus but not required
- Experience working with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Must have a BA/BS/MA in accounting/tax with CPA certification or parts past
- Candidates must be self-motivated with good multi-tasking skills and possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- 2-3 years of public accounting experience
