Job Details:
Electrical Controls & Instrument Technician
Award-winning Automation Systems Integrator seeks Instrument Technician/Specialist willing to travel:
- Able to read & interpret schematics, drawings as well as comprehension of electricity & circuits
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years troubleshooting & calibrating control systems
- Set up instrumentation & calibrate using meters & tools
- Preventative & corrective maintenance
- Instrumentation installation background
- Maintenance on instrumentation & control systems
- Experience with install and maintenance projects in the automation of industrial processes
- Testing functions
- Experience working with PLC's, HMI's, SCADA & DCS systems including Rockwell/Allen Bradley, Wonderware, Siemens, GE Fanuc, Emerson DeltaV, Schneider Electric and/or Modicon
- Troubleshoot I/O's
- Oil & Gas (Midstream preferred), Water/Wastewater, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, Cogen Plants, Combined Cooling Heat and Power, Data Centers, Packaging & Process Controls experience
- P&ID's, VFD's
- Maintaining and testing of pressure, temperature, level & flow loops
- Set up and calibrate valve positioners
- Experience working in the field at customer sites
- Willingness to travel to customer sites (50% travel required)
- CCST and Fiber Optic certifications a plus
- Ability to work well independently
