Strategic Account Manager – Senior Account Manager
Medical Communications – Healthcare Communications- Publications- HEOR
An excellent medical communications agency client of ours is actively in search of a Strategic Account Manage. Titles within the industry vary (Account Manager, Senior Account Manager, Associate Client Services Director, etc. Individuals with strong medical communications agency experience; (Medical Affairs, Publications- Publication Planning, Commercial, HEOR) in an account/client servicing role are urged to apply.
**This role can WORK REMOTE- WORK FROM HOME- or Office based if preferred and local**
Sample job duties:
- This role will utilize strong client management experience providing strategic direction and guidance to clients (competitive analysis, marketplace analysis, product/brand challenges, unmet needs, etc.).
- Work with Scientific/Medical Director on assigned account to serve as a strategic partnership with assigned client, not simply tactical education
- Strong scientific comprehension to speak with client about product, NOT develop content (internal scientific team develops content)
- Work directly with Account Directors, VP’s, Product Managers and Marketing Teams to identify, assess and develop strategic plans regarding client needs
- Develop and manage budgets, kick- off & status meetings, debriefing meetings, financial monitoring & management, reconciliation, etc.
- Proven track record for fostering strong client and thought leader/KOL relationships.
- Must be very well organized with the ability to prioritize & multitask
- Regular communication with team members, inner departments, clients and faculty to ensure client objectives remain on budget & hitting objectives
Requirements:
- Qualified applicants will have at least five (5) or more years of experience in the medical communications industry in a project management or account services capacity.
- BS or BA degree in business, life sciences, communications or related discipline.
- This position does require excellent time management and communication skills both written & verbal dealing with internal and external stakeholders
- Computer proficient (Microsoft)
