BAS/HVAC CONTROLS TECHNICIAN/PROGRAMMER
My client is looking for a Control Tech/Programmer that has a mechanical HVAC background. They are a union mechanical contractor and would like the tech to be union or possibly become union. This person will have to take on many roles such as controls installation, troubleshooting/service, programming/commissioning, and potentially field supervision. They need someone willing to grow and wear many hats to get the jobs accomplished. They don't want someone who thinks they will be programming controls 24/7. There is a lot of room to grow here and they'd be willing to speak with anyone interested.
We need someone who can:
- Install, wire, and commission controllers/panels/valves etc.
- Great computer skills
- Has strong electrical troubleshooting skills
- Control programming is a plus (We work with Tridium/Honeywell/JCI – willing to train)
- CAD/Visio is a plus
- Is able to perform HVAC mechanical services if needed (knowledge of the refrigeration cycle and all HVAC type systems)
- VFD knowledge
- Experience with unit and job startups
