Product Development Engineer
Greater Philadelphia (Relocation Available)
Role:
As a Product Development Engineer, you'll be responsible for development and designing rotating machinery and their respective support systems. This would include designing new products, integration, testing, commissioning, mechanical analysis, support, as well as working cross functionally with engineering, manufacturing, operations, customers, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop new competitive equipment
- Own the product development cycle - design, implementation, reviews, testing, installation, commissioning, analysis, etc.
- Perform analysis and testing with prototypes
- Provide support to project engineering / management in regards to bids and proposals
- Work cross functionally with engineering, sales, stakeholders, manufacturing, operations, etc.
- Be the subject matter expert and present analytics, process improvements, cost savings, solutions development, etc.
- Special projects including continuous improvement projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline is required
- Masters, MBA, or PHD is highly preferred
- 5+ years of experience with high speed rotating equipment is required
- Prior knowledge or experience within the chemical industry is required
