Seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a good background in new product development.
Job Duties:
- Lead mechanical design teams in creation and design of new products and improvements to existing products
- Take ownership of assigned task and oversee projects from the initial concept and all throughout the manufacturing process
- Use design software
- Use of measurement tools
- Interact with other departments critical to the product design and manufacturing process
- Create and maintain budgets
- Interact with vendors, customers and other outside sources
- Oversee and manage design team
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience in a product/equipment design and development role for a manufacturer
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Preferred)
- Experience with 3D Modeling software such as Solidworks, ProE, Inventor, etc.
- Metals experience (experience with additional materials beneficial)
- Strong organizational skills
